Welcome to The New Orleans Spin! Hopefully this will be the first of many posts–I guess we’ll see how it goes.
I am originally from Westchester, NY, about 30 minutes north of NYC. But for the past 4 1/2 years, I have resided in New Orleans as a Tulane University student. I just graduated this past May with a BSM from Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. I love this city; and I plan on staying here for a while. In all honesty, 6 months ago I didn’t even know what a blog was; but working with an online marketing and PR company based in NOLA, here I am trying to navigate the blogosphere. I am shocked at how easy it actually was for me to create this site–a lot easier than this post, that’s for sure.
I am still gathering my thoughts on the direction I want to bring this blog, but I have always wanted to write about food. Since I was in high school, my parents and friends have been telling me that I should look into being a food critic. Of course, I have no formal culinary training and no connections with any restaurants, food magazines, websites, etc., but I love to eat, I love to cook, and I have been sampling the best places to eat in the Big Easy for almost 5 years–that’s gotta be worth something.
